The building is located in the settlement of Saint Nicholas or Limanaki.
The first name is owed to a very old Byzantine country church of Saint Nicholas (it is dated back in the 1400 ad) kept in great condition. The second name is owed in the two naturally small boat harbours that exist. The settlement belongs in the village Kontakeika and it abstains 5 km from the Karlovasi, where one can find almost everything: banks, post office, supermarket, internet cafes, commercial shops and the regional Medical centre. The settlement of Saint Nicholas abstains 25 km from the capital of Samos island and it is roughly 20 km from the Kokari, one of the most tourist destinations of the island.
Villa Alkioni welcomes you in a idyllic environment amongst banana, olive, pine trees, grape vines and plenty of local vegetation species adjoined with the deep blue spotless crystal clear sea waters.
The access to the lodge is possible by two provincial country roads from the main artery that connects Karlovasi and Samos Town, both roads that lead to Villa Alkioni end in spacious car parking.
Forgetting all the city noises, the only noise here that can be enjoyed is the plash of waves and the singing of the birds. Just a few steps down the stairway are the sea break and an easy access to a very cute beach with pebbles and crystal clear waters.
Seeking a longer beach is within a couple minute walk, shingle pebble like most northern beaches of Samos Island. Within two minute walk on the other side of the stairway, quality food is available at the famous alfresco Seafood taverna `the Fishermen’ or refreshing drinks next door in the cafeteria by the rocks.
